If this is the Jumper boot with dark cognac shell that I'm a part of, I'm a bit disappointed. As the last update given a few weeks ago said it was targeted for end of October completion, I would expect a delay due to shortage of shell to have been noted much earlier in the process and not a week prior to the targeted completion.

It is what it is, I suppose.

I am disappointed too, but if Horween can't provide Shell as promised, there is not much Carmina can do about it unfortunately.

Hey Leaves: Didnt they tell you when you were at the carmina factory that the Burgundy chukka would be delayed, not the jumper boot?

I was told the Dark Cognac Shell Jumper was delayed a few weeks but they did not tell me it was because of Shell shortage.

There you go Patrik :slayer::slayer::slayer:

I will have to wear them every Sunday/Monday/Thursday for football season.

However I have a question, I have a pair of MTO's coming in and once I lock down the size I will want to hop into this or another MTO. Can we wait till delivery comes?

So we're actually doing a 49ers Galway GMTO? Oh my... :)

You guys want the vamp in Edwardian and the top in red suede or what are you aiming for?

So much easier making this pitch with Alex and Colin running the team the past few years versus Tim Rattay and Ken Dorsey...

I'm thinking having the vamp in Edwardian but the top in a dark burgundy grain leather. I don't know if Rosewood works?

Since the 49ers are the Wine and Cheese crowd (which is coincidentally red and gold color also) I would even be in to making it a dressier boot like the Nevis.

Yeah I think this sounds better as well, and would be interested in Nevis as well

How about red berry suede? It's very close to wine red.

That suede looks awesome. How is the Nevis a more dressy boot? Not that I am questioning it but just curious. I would be highly interested as I dont have a shoe in that style

I for one would definitely put down the Nevis as a less dressy boot than the Galway on the 82 last. After all, the Nevis is on the 606 last and normally has a storm welt and double Dainitie sole. IMO the apron and split-toe also makes the Nevis more casual than the Galway.
