Is it the real one with the wood base instead of plastic.
I believe it's rubber I am guessing what I got was dansko was told they are very comfortable for hospitals. Can you get a wood one but from were? Is it well worth it? I mean will it increas comfort. Currently I have Nike 5.0 I love them.

I remember these, back in days in my old country these clogs were very popular with medical professionals. If I remember correctly they were invented in Sweden. They were made out of wood with the leather uppers. They are very comfortable actually.

Yeah, I believe they might have their origin in Scandinavia or at least Northern Europe. They are widely used by everyone working in a hospital environment in Sweden, from the nurses to cheif physicians. I believe the soles are indeed wooden although there might be some kind of topy on them.

Gabriel grew up in an part if Sweden where they use very intricate patterns and decorations on their clogs (or anything made out of wood actually).

The ones that I refer were indeed made out of alder wood. The look like this

I think this one is made by German company Berkeman
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Berkemann-Unisex-Adults-Natur-Toeffler/dp/B001WHLVQ2/ref=sr_1_13/278-2287772-9138112?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1438780152&sr=1-13

The original wooden clogs were from Träskor which was either brand name or the company that made clogs.

Indeed I expected this to happen and it is well deserved. Personally I do not buy an explanation that customs and shipping are reason for the RRP in the USA. Rather it is the fact that USA is seen as the land of affluent consumers who can bear to pay the certain price.

I'm interested in the EB MTO. Preference is Tobacco but as long as Volpe is different enough from snuff then should be OK...

So is Volpe lighter/darker/same as snuff?

My next shoe will most likely be from EB. Just a pain in the ass to have to start from scratch w/r/t sizing again.  Come to SF on your US tour and bring some EB with you!
