Nice looking shoe there.

Can I enlist members to help compare and contrast Carmina suedes, namely Fox (Tobacco), Polo and Snuff?

I'm sure there are members that have at least one of each. Any chance for side by side pics? Enough if you have just two of three! Can't have it all.

Interested in red/green balance, in "darkness", etc.

Seconded--would love to see this myself.

So what's up with EG? They're thinking about charging a different price for those who live in the U.S.?

It seems like they want us to pay same price that you would buy from any U.S. Retailer and pay same price even if you buy it over sea. That's what I would think. Just a guess not really sure.

Apparently they are adopting new policies for U.S. sales. Have not heard exactly what the policy is yet.

Unfortunately I can't help with Snuff or Polo suede, but I just received the Fox suede Chelseas from Skoak. I would not have purchased them based solely on the pictures on the Skoak website as they appear to have a pretty bright yellow/orange tinge. They are far more subdued in person, even in direct sunlight, and the below is a good representation of how they look indoors (of course, your monitor may vary):

Guys, I have boots in those colors but they are in storage right now. Please keep in mind that suede is very tricky to photograph accurately.
RogerP has nice shots of Polo Suede from Carmina so search his albums under his profile name.

I am not sure if tobacco and fox are the same but I have tobacco chukka (through GF from few season back) and this color is very yellowish light kind of like mustard.
I have polo suede boo from Skoak and polo suede is darker more redish sort of like red brick stone.
I hope this verbal description helps a little bit until someone posts pictures of these.

Thanks @zonda600

Gabriel mentioned that Fox Carmina Suede is what Carmina typically calls tobacco and that it's called "fox" by Skoak because of similarities to the G&G fox suede (color wise, I suspect). I hope I didn't botch that. @Skoaktiebolaget please correct me if I have.

In hand, would you still say that they are "yellowish"? That's helpful to know.

@laufer

Thanks, I think you've confirmed that fox is yellow in tone.

For me, a side by side will help settle somethings, as long as one of them is snuff suede since I will be getting a pair (like Mr. Six's) soon. That will help me calibrate.

If I had to guess, polo is more red, fox more yellow, and snuff more "green", if that makes sense. Polo seems like it might be darker too.

How many places in the States sell EG? Maybe they are finding a drastic increase in purchases over seas and want to make it closer in terms of cost for someone buying in the states vs buying overseas.

That would suck. I would preorder every pair from Skoak.

Someone must be lobbying hard this side of the Atlantic...

Anyone up for an Arran chukka GG GMTO, in mink or mole suede (preferably GG06 last)?

All this chukka suede talk is making me envious...

One of these days I need to get me a pair of Arran chukkas.

But I almost always envision these in brown calf, besides I just received my Shanklins today.

Thanks to @Leave and the crew, I neglected to get a pair initially and I almost missed out.

These are just another great pair of boots from Skoak.

Go Skoak!!!

Soon, I will have tobacco, snuff and their chocolate/dark brown.  I will post pictures when I get my snuff chukkas in the mail
