Those are incredible, happy MTO! I keep hearing Carmina won't do bal boots on Rain last but I've now seen two examples.

Since you guys seem to have lacked the cojones to go through with this as a GMTO a few months ago, I had to get a one-off:

The alligator seems to be a darker color than the original that SB showed us over the summer, but I'm by no means displeased. The finish on the alligator is gorgeous, and once I get a good wax on the toes, we'll really be in business. Cheers to all the folks at SB who helped me out with this one!
What a delightfully dickish way to introduce some killer looking boots.

Gotta talk a little smack to you guys for making me pay a single MTO fee instead of enjoying a GMTO

^^ Balligators! Freaking awesome.

Carmina can make single MTOs on Rain. I've been talking with them about developing a new pattern for a Rain Balmoral boot with a punched Balmoral line. Hopefully it will be available in a few months.

@Journeyman : here is the carmine split toe:

400

The seem is definitely visible but clean. I was surprised these were available as long as they were.

Are you referring to their normal split toe? Or the way EG and G&G makes it?

I've seen a Simpson split toe.

I'm referring to the way EG/GG do it...........something hidden under the toe piece. Visible but not topical.

I've seen the regular Carmina split toe in a few different colors and lasts.

I do not believe Carmina can do a split toe as nicely as EG.

Pretty sure if Carmina could do a split toe as nicely as EG we'd all buy Carminas instead of EGs. I'd happily save the 3-500 per pair.

In other words...Duh
