Rodger, what did you decide on the lama Chukkas? I keep almost pulling the trigger...

I'm just not sure about the grey suede. I love the look of the black on black; the grey seems like a bit much.

I believe the one I'd pictured was a stock model, rather than a MTO.

Not confused. Sorry.

It's true, though, that black is just not as popular.

I'm thinking about something like this as well as I am in the same boat as LeviMay. Or...

LL

Or... I'm intrigued by the Bonafe bal boot but it seems the grey makes it more daring for lack of a better word. Might it possibly be too nice/elegant to serve as a boot you can wear to the office or around town. I can definitely see rocking them as a wedding shoe or a night at the Met but I don't get married or go to Met openings all that often. The above seem a little safer. I guess the question I'm debating is can I pull of the Bonafe 2 tone's without looking too much like a dandy? Is it a special occasion shoe (wedding/opera) or can I rock it with a suit and wear it around town and not feel overdressed or out of place? They are definitely more interesting and would be more fun to wear.

Agreed that a black on black MTO is an uphill climb but I have brown and burgundy bal boots so there is a place in the rotation for black.

My thoughts exactly. The black could, I feel, be worn with pinstripes as easily as to the opera, whereas the two-tone would be that much more memorable, and, thus, be brought out less often.

If you guys get 3, you should just do an MTO through Skoak for Bonafe -- get that same model but with black suede instead of grey suede. That price is amazing - a bit more than the Carminas but the quality is outstanding and you don't need 6. You don't even need 3 if you are willing to pay just a 15% up charge.

Thanks for the info - good to know. Still intrigued by the Black and grey. Should a man have an "F U" shoe in his closet?
