Been wanting a pair in the maple to Edwardian color range. I like the contrast and find the lighter shades tend to antique well after a few years (and maybe because I already have tons of shoes in black, dark oak, etc.). Good summer color for me.

Personally I would buy them to antique them myself. By using many different shades of polish and wax you can get a truly amazing and deep colour!

Thanks lads! Appreciate the kind feedback!

I would be interested in this if in a leather sole. Would be interested in saddle (light cognac?) or (dark) cognac, with a preference for the former.

The austerity brogues are lovely! Most likely a new smash hit that will sell like hot cakes.

PS: When you find the time, please answer my mail question about the shoe trees, so I know which amount to transfer to you for the G&G-purchase

yup, either color sounds great to me as well.

in terms of sole, single (or double) leather sole would be my last choice. i was thinking more of something like this

or this

350x700px-LL-316fe5bb_Victory_sole.jpeg

although, if it must be single leather, then it must be :slayer:

I might be interested too in Dark Cognac on the sole shown above but I might be willing to settle for leather or doble leather. No purple lining

Yup dark cognac also sounds good as do saddle and cognac (not sure if different).

Haha any lining works for me, although I wouldn't mind something fun
