That loks gorgeous. I may be in depending on the colour; a medium brown or cognac will be great with a burnished toe and black soles.

Cognac could be good, very similar to the Delos' shoe.  Black fiddle waist good too.  Another idea could be an austerity wingtip adelaide with peaked heel counter also on the chiselled last.

All--

Patrik head back from Betty regarding a Rain last wingtip boot...it is doable!  Here are the details that were floating around:

Style: Wingtip boot
Last: Rain
Color: Dark Cognac
Material: Shell Cordovan
Welt: Flat
Outsole: Single Dainite
Eyelets: 8 - 4 blind; 4 speed hooks
Lining: Open to anything

I believe 5 people were interested in this...

It's a shame this didn't come up at the end of the month, definitely would have joined in.

it will probably take a week or two to get everything finalized...plus the group MTO is 50% upfront and 50% at time of delivery...not sure if this helps you at all

So it would be a balmoral boot, no open tongue? Essentially the boot version of this shoe
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 100

The end product would look like this in different last and color of course.

Hey guys,

When I try on the Rain last, there is a lot of room in the vamp (it wrinkles alot because of the room). Does that mean I have a high or low instep?

I believe NAMOR was thinking open lacing...

How do you size in the Rain last?

Forest fits much roomier but more comfortable for boots in size 9
Simpson is tight but since suede it stretched like a mofo size 9

Should I size the same in the rain?

J, I've got rain boots and forest boots in a 9uk and the forest boots actually fit me more comfortably out of the box. The rain boots are suede, though, and after wearing them for a few weeks, they're now incredibly comfortable. My suggestion would be to go with the same size on the Rain.

Perfect man! Thanks for the info!
My shell Forest Bal boots fit way better than my calf open lacing boots

How durable is chromexcel vs other materials (calf, shell, suede)?

Let's get the above MTO going.  Patrik just needs a list of all interested participants.  Please PM me and I will forward to him.  Here is a pic of Unipair's rain last shortwing boot:

Also, does everyone want full Dainite or are people up for the York sole?

I am very interested, but need the full spec before I commit.

So MTO is for balmoral and speed hook?
