Thanks for your fast response! Could you tell me, which last is this exactly? I've seen the 861 before (and thought it would never come back), but have seen references to Forest and Oscar, whilst the Carmina website says Soller? They look less sleek compared to the Frankenstitch boots, but it's hard to judge from different angles.

Will there be a version with speedhooks? Or just as is in the picture?

Love mine, and they won't be my last:

I feel they compare very favorably with my Galways, at a significantly lower price.
I really like those Roger.

Too bad I waited to long to get a pair, but then again they're so similar to another pair I already own.
http://www.styleforum.net/content/type/61/id/1186923/"] Yes, we will restock the 861 derby boot in Antiqued Burgundy Calf for the coming Fall/Winter season. It looks like this:

Roger,

Maybe I misunderstood you, I thought you were talking about getting another pair of boots. I would be interested in the brogue version of boots if Bonafe can make some. But I may be a game for shoes too. I will not know for sure until I receive my first pair of Bonafe shoes, chukka on 946 last, I should be receiving them anytime now, hopefully they fit. So I might be interested in suede chukkas too.

Yes - I wasn't clear, hence the misunderstanding. I meant these wouldn't be my last Bonafes. I'm sure another pair of Bonafe boots might be in my future, but with the Frankenstitch Carmina on order and an EG Shannon lined up for the fall, I think I'm more focused on shoes for a shorter-term Bonafe purchase or MTO. A suede dress shoe is a gap I'd like to fill, which is the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on those lovely suede Chukkas that Skoak has in stock.

Looking forward to your feedback on your Chukkas - are you getting calf or suede?

Thanks my man. I try to avoid closely duplicating purchases as well. I'm all about diversity in the rotation. About the only time I would duplicate is when replacing or significantly upgrading an existing pair.

They are on the Forest last. We will not have speed hooks on it, it will be like the above pair.

I almost forgot through, we have this model incoming in mid or late March, from Enzo Bonafé:

And also these Boanfé Split Toe Derby with a chained Norvegese, for rainy summer days, also incoming in mid or late March:

Leaves,

Leaves, can you post pictures of Bonafe grain color swatch like you guys did with Bonafe suede color and maybe tell us what each color resembles EG colors? I am definitely looking to add some grain leather boots (as you already know this :D )

This is what I am refereeing to, it was really helpful

Yes, I have been planning for this for a while. Bonafé carries two types of grain and they carry each version in about 10 hues, so there are a lot of options.

1. Fine grain with a texture reminding a little of Hatch Grain. Here you can also see the difference between a "chained" Norvegese (top) and a "single" Norvegese(middle picture).

2. A coarser grain that looks really good on country shoes and boots.

Thanks for the confirmation! Reason I asked is this: http://www.carminashoemaker.com/man/collection/cordovan/model/861_detail.html
Can't imagine they use the same model no. with different lasts...

They try to avoid it, but sometimes they make a model on different lasts if they are close in design, like Rain and Simpson or Robert and Forest.

And once more: thank you sir!
Time to do some thorough pre-purchase research...
