+1000. I think Frank would recommend I get a Shannon and a Galway. Even if it ends in... murder! (As in my wife killing me.)

Foe me this is all easy. I cannot wear 82 last, it's a little but to long for me but if I size a half a size down then it is too short. Although I wonder what would have happened if you tried F width going down a half a size puzzled.gif

I know what you mean. However, my fear (consiering I'm taking deliviery of both the zugglets and the edwardian Alderley) is not to die starving during autumn, but more to drown in awesomeness icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Drowning in awesomeness is pretty much guaranteed, my friend.

So agree. With a single dainite I'd be in. Leather soles during boot season in Sweden does unfortunately not make much sense.
However beutiful they are!

^^^ I agree.  I don't think Dainite would look less dressy, all other elements remaining the same.  Not a deal-breaker for me - it would just save me having to Topy the leather soles.  This winter has been brutal - I hardly ever wore leather soles outdoors.

I was thinking EG's version of the wensum sole (R1?) would be appropriate

If that is the very light profiled rubber sole I saw on a Chelsey during the latest trunk I absolutely agree!

^^^ Anyone have pics of shoes with this R1 sole?

medway ridgeway sole is the way to go for rubber sole. I dont even see the point of dainite anymore. impossible to notice the difference and ridgeway is much better in adverse terrain (i.e. marble floors)
^ Yes but can't have that on the 82 last from what I gather.

gotcha, that makes sense. im guessing its unique to 64 last? how about 202 and 606?
