I set up a Google form to try to gauge interest in different options for the wingtip boot MTO. I'll leave it open through Tuesday (US Pacific). You don't have to answer any question or provide your SF nickname. I only included the latter so that people could check their answers. All of the responses should be viewable. Let me know if I missed anything.

X-posting....
Just a reminder for the MTO that I will be placing in 2 weeks that I hope I can get 6 people to join...

I'm going to do an MTO for a pair of G&G through skoaktiebolaget.

Since Im not in a great hurry I thought I would check here first so see if someone else might be
interested in joining me.
However, since I dont want to wait forever either I will put a final date for the whole thing,
which will be friday november 22nd.

if we dont get 6 people by that time and you dont want to proceed with purchasing the shoes with the added MTO cost,
that is fine I will go ahead and order them anyway :)
So if you are interested in joining in, please contact me.

the specs will be these, but if someone has a better idea, im still open for suggestions.

Gaziano & Girling Arran
Not sure if its Oak hatch grain or if its brown hatch grain, cause I think its a tad lighter than oak
anyway, its the shoes below and I saw that Nick from from bespoke england had used it.
Last: MH71
Width: E
Sole: Wensum (or Dainite if a majority prefer this)
Details: Black stitching/lining/lacing with only 2 eyelets instead of the normal 3.
price: Gabriel/Patrik help please.
Price for this mode as a Group MTO is 7900 SEK (6320 ex VAT)
Price for this model as a MTO is 9300 SEK (7440 ex VAT)

So the shoe/last will look like this.

But the coloring will/should be very similar to this

http://www.styleforum.net/g/i/515395/a/337981/gaziano-girling-appreciation-shoo-Appreciation-theard/

Still not 100% sure that these all of these details are possible, but G&G are usually pretty flexible,
so I hope there wont be any problems.
I also dont know the price for these, but Gabriel or Patrik might help me here :)

I imagine it will look something like this
http://www.styleforum.net/t/338047/...official-affiliate-thread/660_10#post_6633563
but with black details

To get an idea for what the difference will be between black and brown stitching/lacing
2 very similar dark oak EG dovers are shown below.

HI - somebody in a previous thread / comment gave a nice summary of the cost of custom made shoes by a range of manufactureres i.e. Carmina, Meermin, EG, C&J, AS etc... does anyone know where I might be able to find it again.

I know you probably don't have an update on the dark cognac jumper. But given that they still don't have the shell from horween. Do you know when the earliest we will be potentially be receiving the shoes?

Directly from the Skoaktiebolaget website for the brands they carry -

Delivery times for MTO and prices vary from maker to maker:
-Carmina Shoemaker 3 months, extra surcharge for MTO is +40% of base model
-Enzo Bonafé 3 months, extra surcharge for MTO is +15% of base model
-Edward Green 4-6 months, extra surcharge for MTO is 1750 SEK (1400 ex VAT)
-Gaziano & Girling 4-6 months, extra surcharge for MTO is 1200 SEK (960 ex VAT)

The Dark Cognac Jumper is now in production. This means the delivery will hopefully be within a couple of weeks. please bear in mind that this is an estimate from Carmina.

New web shop www.skoaktiebolaget.com

Since we opened up our shop in 2012 we have had a steady increase of mail orders and it has come to a point where we recognize the need for a proper web shop. The most asked for feature has of course been to browse by size, we know this has been a bit of a hassle for you before; having to wait for several hours for an e-mail reply is not ideal (most of our mail order clients live in North America or Asia and there's a large difference in times zones). Also, we hope this new solution will open our clients eyes to our accessories like ties and pocket squares from Liverano & Liverano, Burgol brushes, Sozzi socks, Skoaktiebolaget shoe trees and other nice stuff.

I hope you enjoy our new web site and please remember that you can always, and we strongly encourage this, e-mail us for fitting advice.

Excellent news.

The ability to order and see what sizes are available will certainly make things a lot easier.
