I started rolling in to my complex. I saw the mail-man leaving and looked at my door (if they can fit it in the parcel box, there's no note. If not, there's a note) and noticed a note. I reversed the car and caught up to the mail-man. He said he had parked the car and slept in front of my place for like 45 minutes then started leaving. Caught him in time. Hah!
Very nice.

For me the best looking double monks are John Lobb, Edward Green, and Alfred Sargent.

Spent the last few minutes comparing EG Westminster to Carmina Salinger. No shocker the EG is better. Glad I didn't get rid of the Salinger though. Completely different purposes.

Westminster feel a bit more up-scale to you? My mind-set is a bit more "white-glove" with the EGs. I reserve the Carmina for sweat pants friday

To be blunt, I don't know enough about shoes to tell you much about the differences. I like that EG used leather instead of elastic for the upper buckle. I like the shape of the last more, but that's not quality. If I felt anything right now, it'd be the placebo effect. I'll treat them different because it says Edward Green under my heel instead of Carmina. But the quality feels quite similar.

What's this sticker mean? Other shoes had it, figured I'd take a picture now though.

The elastic feels cheap to me. And the buckles on the EG are pretty legit.

Sole pattern is cool.

Don't mind my girlfriends quilt. I was in bed fingering the new toys, so to speak.

Edit:
What I liked on EG more than Carmina:
The tan lining over the purple. The signature purple is cool for the first few days but then it's just trendy.
The leather strap instead of elastic
The toe cap. It's more square and edgy than anything Carmina has. But the Simpson is still legit to me.

Yeah, sure we have the Berkeley in Oak, Chelsea in Black, Inverness in Burgundy and Malvern in Dark Oak, all in UK 10.5. Not on sale though. :)

But 6700 SEK is a very good price, especially now with the USD so strong towards SEK.

There will be a general price increase this September from EG, and this will effect our prices as well. New prices will be around 7200 SEK (5760 ex VAT), effective later this year. There will also be a price increase on the Dover and Westminster, we have charged the same price for all EG models before but these are more expensive for us to buy from EG so they will suffer an increase as well.
