About 3% for Carmina and Bonafè and at least 15% for Edward Green and Gaziano & Girling. Maybe more. It depends on GBP rate and also what exactly the new RR will be for these makers. Actually, the increase for these two makers might be as much as 19%.

Finally got a comparison pic of my dark oak Galways! Here they are with a couple of dark oaks and an acorn CC Galway. It's actually closer to what I expected. I think the lighter ones look more like burnt pine to me. Thanks Patrik & Gabriel!

Is the second one from the right the same as the one that's currently on preorder?

I believe so. The other dark oak Galway that Skoab sold was in suede; however, they can confirm.

I hope so - I'm on the preorder list and was looking for pics by owners. Those look great

Gents, I have tried 82 last some time ago and just want to confirm some sizing before placing Doak Galway preorder.

Can someone post their sizing in 82 last vs Carmina and Alden?

I'm 9US on Brannock and wear Carmina Forest ans Inca in 8UK and Alden Barrie in 8.5D for reference.

When I tried 82 last a few years ago very briefly it was 8.5UK. I tried a free BB stores in T.O but they don't have my size to try.

I'm more or less sure that 8.5UK is the right size but some reassurance would be great.

thanks

Thanks! Interestingly, although my almond cc Galways are more casual due to the leather, it's in the D width and the welt was cut much closer so it looks dressier than my dark oak. Minor idiosyncrasies can make a nice difference.

Brannock: 7D
Alden Barrie: 6.5D
Carmina Alcudia: 6.5
EG E82: 6.5/7

Hope this helps.

We are the same size. I tried 8.5 UK Galway on 82 last at Brooks Brothers and fit was excellent. That said, my 8.5 UK Chelseas on 82 last feel a bit large and I wonder if 8 would have been better. Probably a boot/shoe thing. I think 8.5 should be it for you.

EDIT: I wear 8.5D Barrie last, 8 UK Rain last, 8 UK Forest last, 9D Grant last, 9D Aberdeen, 8.5C Van…

I think it may have something to do with many centuries of war between the two countries?

Steel, I take my Barrie size in all EG lasts and I think they all fit quite well. I like the way my 82 fits.
