Two different shoe designs, different material hatch grain vs calf, different lasts, and colors are different. Oak hatch is darker.

I placed an order for mahogany cc, DOAK, and hove. I don't think I'll regret it. The apron is the most beautiful detail on any shoe and brown derbies are very versatile for business casual. If you were trying to only have 5 shoes then no but for the average sfer you can fit both.

+1 to the above. I have a DOak Dover with a Mahogany CC Dover and a Willow Dover on order. They are all different enough to me to justify them all!

Those would be too close for me - each a slight variation on a similar theme, and each getting half the amount of wear as a consequence. For any given outfit or occasion that the Hove would be called upon, the Dover would work equally well. And vice versa. I try to avoid that kind of replication in the rotation, though it does get harder to accomplish with the more quality pairs one acquires. #firstworlproblems. ;-)

We had some questions about Bonafé a while back, when the factory was closed. We have heard back from them in regards of a a couple of these questions:

Q: Does Bonafé have a Longwing model?
A: Yes they do, it is called model 2209. Unfortunately they have no pictures of this model, but it is a very traditional style Longwing.
Excellent! thank you so much for finding this out for me. Time to start planning....

Sign me up, especially if you are planning on ordering in one of the Bonafe grain colors.
By the way I think long wing looks best on the round last, I cannot wear 363 last so it would have to be on 804 last.

Thank you @Leaves I do not suppose Bonafe is willing to cut a pattern for that boot?

@Leaves , Im very interested in getting those grain jumpers before the price increase but Im not sure what my Oscar size is. I just ordered a 7.5 in Rain, would that also be my Oscar size or should i go 1/2 size up? (also the smaller grain jumper is 8 anyway).

Thanks!

Perhaps it's this, for some reason SF and my iPad do not cooperate well but @rydenfan if you go on Bonafes official thread on the third page or post #73 I have posted pictures of Bonafe long wing model.

@leaves I believe Bonafe has over 20 different grain colors and textures. Can you post grain color swatches like you did with Bonafe calf colors?

If it helps I take the same size in both lasts.

Cross-post from the EG thread:

Halifax in Gold Delapre on Dainite sole. MTO through @Skoaktiebolaget. As usual, best possible service, thank you guys!!!

My first impression of Delapre: it's very soft, in a good way. I think they will gain a beautiful patina with regular wear.
