Any interest here in doing a full brogue oxford like the EG Malvern or inverness in suede?

FYI, it looks like there are some future stock models planned in suede according to the EG brochure http://www.edwardgreen.com/brochure.html. Could avoid the MTO charge in the future maybe. Unfortunately only black suede in malvern and the only other suede brogue oxford would be the asquith in mink suede.

Received my Heather Gorse AKA ZUG Galways today. I have to tell you I am extremely impressed. I could say that this completes my trifecta with regards to Galways, however I'm not certain I am finished with Galways yet. But the Heather Gorse Galways are certainly look to be Built Tough.

Once again thanks to those initially bringing this idea up @SKM and @CTBrummie , as well as
@Leaves for making it a reality. If I missed anyone I apologize.

Glad you like them!

is this not the prototype in real life form? (minus the medallion) :)

Correct. We started working on this model over a year ago if I remember correctly, and this was the first prototype model. I have to say I think they will look so much nicer in shell (most boots do). We'll see in a few days when they arrive.

True that, I've already checked it out but will keep an eye towards the EG catalogue once the launch their autumn/winter collection...

How does the EG 606 last compare to Carmina Rain and Simpson?

I would not look to deeply into the brochure, it's not always a good representation of coming stock models. EG is actually revamping their whole stock line system this fall, we're expecting more detailed info within a couple of weeks.

Wow, a lot of exiting stuff going on at EG at the moment – new website (and apparently web store?), new(ish) MTO programme and now new stock line system… Is it just new models, or is there something more game changing afoot? :)

Changes have been long overdue if you ask me, now they got some new energy in the organization, making a lot of improvements. Chris who used to be Store Manager at Jermy Street, now retail sales manager, and Euan (Hilary's nephew) are pushing for improvements. There are probably more people too pushing for change, but Chris and Euan are the ones I know of.

Don't forget the new logo (and the imprint on the insole :))
