I asked in here a day or two ago because $600 G&Gs would be amazing... but I have no idea how the GG06 last fits.

The length wise it is the same as any other G&G last but with considerably more toe room.

Handwelted insole & outsole, you can view it as far superior Vass

Top Drawer is not hand welted or with handmade sole stitch. I know Christopher Gumbs, Sales Manager at EG, says so (he did when I met him, even after I questioned it) which is a bit scary, cause either he doesn't know what he's talking about, or he is lying. Either way is bad.

It's like when Cleverley for some time lied about their Anthony Cleverley range being hand welted, just so stupid and not needed. Both AC and EG Top Drawer are great shoes, they don't have to try to twist it into being something that it isn't.

Thanks for clarifying, J.  It was my understanding that TD were not hand welted and I was wondering if had got that wrong.

Patrik,

How about a makeup like this for the spring? I would be in for pretty much this exact makeup

Would anybody be interested in a Bonafe balmoral boot, with laces and no speed hooks? I want to do something in a brown calf with contrasting upper, either grain shaft or suede. I can do either a leather sole or single dainite, whichever is preferable to others.

This is the pattern I was thinking, with the following modifications:

- with LACES
- no speed hooks
- no medallion on the toe
- contrasting shaft and lower
- no pull tab

Move the last few pairs of the Bonafe burgundy jumper over to that section and tell me if I would be the 8 or 8.5. I'll take them right off your hands wink.gif

No size 7.5?  I'm trying to find a suede shoe like this.

And let's get our terms right so we're all on the same page - the "upper" is what covers your foot, the "shaft" is what covers your ankle and lower shin.

I'm not really into wild coloured lining, but it's not something I'm going to fuss about if others are really keen.

I wasn't familiar with the terminology, but I totally agree on it.

I think the colored lining is a detail, although I must admit that I am kind of attracted by that purple lining.

Can you or someone mock up that boot with navy upper and burgundy shaft?

I highly recommend the two leathers be different (i.e. not both smooth calf), so perhaps a burgundy grain or suede. It looks way better like that, but this ain't my MTO :)

Yes we could go for burgundy calf grain for the shaft. Are you interested?

When you guys decide to place your orders for 2015 can you open up pre-orders for styles you won't stock small sizes in? I hate it when there's a makeup I'd buy but they aren't stocked in my size 6/6.5.
