The blue/burgundy combo is pretty neat.

What do you think about the u-cap balmoral with blue upper and burgundy lower? Austerity wise with the upper leather sewn over the under leather (usually the other way around)? No cap and a medallion is ok for me.

Dont you think a balmoral could be better with a dressier rubber sole? The victory feels heavy.

Hope we can do this.

Too much brogueing would make the model less formal, so I would stay with the medallion without any cap (even the u-cap) I don't think an austerity u-cap would give a nice result.

Concerning the sole, if majority leans toward dainite soles, then I will be fine with it.

I am glad you like it too. I will try to write it more neatly this week.

Because of budget reasons my attention goes to the carmina GMTO offer of skoaktiebolaget. More concretely I would like to know if you guys would be interested in a balmoral boot in burgundy calf and (dark) blue calf.

To convince you that the colors are a match made in heaven I'll post this

I would be VERY interested in this boot on the Robert last, assuming Carmina can offer a very deep, dark midnight blue. I would not be interested in any remotely denim-looking shade for a dressy bal boot. Forest is also a deal-breaker for me.

Dainite soles.

How about antique burgundy calf and burgundy suede upper smile.gif on the Robert last.

I've got the Carmina U-wing bal boot in burgundy museum on order with GF, so I would pass on a second burgundy Carmina bal boot.

You did link the the u-cap balmoral boot. Therefore I thought the model was an option.

But I wanted the upper leather to cover the under leather, see the maftei balmoral shoe below.

Just throwing the out some ideas.

Both are my size but I cannot decide between Malvern and Beaulieu. And no, buying both is not an option...

I am envious of your dilemma. Both are a 1/2 size small for me.

Seems Robert last comes out as a winner. For the leather skoaktiebolaget should tell us what actually is possible. A leather sample would be more than welcome. I know that carmina has excellent dark blue shell, but I would like calf (also shell since it costs more is not an option for me and I think carmina doesn't allow shell GMTO too).

It is really the purpose to have a blue midnight calf and burgundy calf. I am not a fan of suede and such a boot is already proposed by others. I would be out.

A misunderstanding of my part, I thought you meant another u-cap boot. The sole (rubber) and the leathers (dark blue calf and burgundy calf) are my only demands (and also speed hooks actually). The other details, I care less about them.

I'm not in for the boot but I have navy shell and calf from carmina - the calf is a bit darker and more subtle.

Beaulieu would be my choice, such a great shoe in that color

Beaulieu should be an instakop at that price, if this is your size
