+1. Top Drawers are amazing. But so are single order MTOs.

I know there were/is a lot of GMTO action, but for EG, aside from some boots and Dovers, I thought there was not all that much diversity in model orders via GMTO came to fruition.

Someone posted a pair of burgundy St James II cordovans a few weeks ago. Truly amazing stuff. GG has a certain magic appeal to it, I don't know if it's the tight waist or what but it is damn sexy.

This is a pre-order for Gaziano & Girling St. James II in Vintage Chestnut. Gaziano & Girling has recently changed their St. James patterns, but this style will be made up using the old St. James II pattern. http://www.skoaktiebolaget.se/products/25-pre-order-deposit-st-james-ii-chestnut

  • Style: Gaziano & Girling St. James II
  • Last: MH71 in E-width
  • Material: Vintage Chestnut (as pictured)
  • Sole: Single Oak Bark leather sole, natural sole edge
  • Price ex VAT: 7040 SEK
  • Price inc VAT: 8800 SEK (for clients within the EU)
  • G&G lasted trees: 1200 SEK / 1500 SEK (ex/inc VAT)
  • Deposit: 25%, final payment before shipping. Shipping will be free of charge if you order the lasted trees to go with the shoes, this puts you over our 8000 SEK limit for free shipping.

If you require a different width than E, please make a note of this in your order comment. Also make a note if you wish to include lasted G&G shoe trees or not (highly recommended). These will be billed on your final invoice.

The deposit 1760 SEK ex VAT is 25% of the full price. The remaining 75% will be billed through before delivery. Delivery is planned for March 2015. The full price is 7040 SEK (8800 SEK ex VAT for clients outside the EU). Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable to other orders.

Pre-order closes December 12. If you add G&G lasted trees, the shipping of 300 SEK will be subtracted from your final payment. Delivery expected late March.

What is the recommended fit on the MH71 last? I am typically an 8.5 US.

Thank you. Now I have to decide if I go with this or the st. James in vintage cherry. I am a little worried the cherry may have too much red...

Cherry is quite red and unless you're trying to make a statement I would opt for something more conservative. Vintage Oak is a beautiful colour.

St.James is one of G&Gs signature styles, and Cherry a signature color, no doubt a great choice. Can't go wrong with this new Chestnut either, at has so much more punch than the old Chestnut. Hard decision indeed. Chestnut would be considered slightly more conservative.
