We need five to avoid the MTO fee.

I would go for this if this last will allow the equivalent of an American "e" width, which I neef.

That makes sense to me. I would not want a boot to fit like an oxford.

Sorry for the double post, something went wrong.

I hope this isn't the case for balmoral boots. I intend to wear mine for work with my usual mercerized cotton or thin wool/cotton/etc socks.

Yea, when I wear most of my derby boots to work I wear my normal work socks. I don't mind the looser fit in a boot. At least not for the workday.

Thanks Alex - I figured if I wear a 9.5 in rain I'd probably be a 9.5 F (wide) in EG or possibly a 10 E (medium). How about you @RogerP? Do you own any boots on the 82?

I believe Leaves posted a while back that he wears:

Rain: UK 8

82: UK 8 F

Well, one of the guys from the shop posted it:

There was also a list posted showing what Gabriel wears; slightly different, probably narrower foot.

Thank you @Skoaktiebolaget for a wonderful shoe, the Carmina Modern Classic in Brown on the (for me) perfect Simpson last.
