Thanks for sharing, I cannot understand why I did not think of this first, but I never saw it in Shell before. :slayer:

Stmaier, I should hire you as a consultant for my next purchasing trip to Majorca. :)

Thank you for all of the kind words.

Patrik-hopefully you will find out that Carmina can source the buffalo leather during your trip to Majorca. I think this would would be a great choice for either a jumper or the Frankenstitch.

Changes in the Gaziano & Girling MTO program and new prices for 2014.

As usual, Gaziano & Girling makes a price increase this time of year. Prices will go up with about 5%, after February 28. This year there has been more than price changes though. First of all the MTO-program and surcharges will be changed.

  • NEW G&G MTO PROGRAM
MTO Option 1 - changing swatch upper leather /styles / soles type and last shapes only 2000 SEK (~$245 USD ex VAT)
MTO Option 2 - changing swatch upper leather /styles / soles type and last shapes and minor design changes 4000 SEK (~$490 USD ex VAT)
  • G&G will, now more than ever, strongly encourage all retailers to sell shoes with G&G lasted shoe trees only. This makes sense of course, but some clients have opted to skip this in the past. But we have decided to only accept MTOs including trees from now on. Proper shoes need proper shoe trees. Our stock shoes can still be ordered without trees.
  • Discontinued leathers: Brandy Calf, Rosewood Calf, Bordeaux Calf, Brown Pig Skin, Black Alpine & Brown Alpine, Cedar Suede.
  • New leathers: Mink Suede, Sand Stone Suede and Hatch Grains in Chestnut, Oak, Espresso, Black, Rioja, Racing Green, & Navy Blue

For those of you who wish to take advantage of the old prices, please e-mail us ASAP with your orders.

It is such a shame about black and brown alpine colors, these are somewhat more gentle than regular grain leather.
G&G shoe trees are indeed wonderful, but I would balk at being forced to purchase boots with the regular shoe trees. These are just impossible to get out of the boots.

I get my G&G lasted trees in and out of my Wigmores just fine.  More fiddly than shoes, but no worse than the trees in my other boots.  And a very far cry from impossible.

Not impossible, just a little annoying is all. I miss GG 3 piece boot trees...

Correction, the old prices are valid until March 28, not February 28.
