The price is 4,560 SEK ex-VAT plus 300 SEK for worldwide shipping.  This would include a double leather sole, there would be an additional cost for toe taps or Dainite as listed above.

I don't know where you'd find a nicer boot for the money. Go get 'em gents.

It pretty much has to be burgundy for me. I have black covered, and think brown will be well covered by my existing Carmina suede bal boot and incoming Carmina shell captoe derby boot.

The only other bal boot colour I am after is dark navy blue, but I'd be reluctant to go with Bonafe here absent seeing an example from them. I know that a Carmina 80092 is navy shell or navy calf upper with navy suede shaft would be absolutely killer. And Vass does an outstanding navy wingtip bal boot. At present, i suspect I will go one of those two routes for navy.

Burgundy seems like a sure thing from Bonafe here - the job they did on that shoe is as good as it gets, IMO.

And of course, I will almost certainly look with envy upon the brown derby Bonafe boot being cooked up by our friends.

let's do a GMTO for navy shell roger :D  I'm sitting out the bonafe too because I want shell as my next one.

With Carmina's steep MTO premium it would have to be a GMTO to make a navy boot happen for me - otherwise for that money I'd just get Vass.

But I'll see where this burgundy bal boot goes and what the expected turnaround is at that point. I don't want 4 GMTO boots all arriving at once in the fall, and I already have two out there. ;-)

I got more information from Patrik about the options with Bonafe.

We are currently discussing the following make up:

- Dark brown calf upper/dark brown grained calf shaft

- 2102 soft chiseled last

- Norvegese welt

- Natural sole edge

- Regular width

Sole options:

- Double leather sole (metal toe taps would be an extra 400 SEK)

- Dainite sole (extra 200 SEK)

The price is 4,560 SEK ex-VAT plus 300 SEK for worldwide shipping.  This would include a double leather sole, there would be an additional cost for toe taps or Dainite as listed above.

You guys are killing me! That is a seriously nice boot and a very attractive price point. hhhmm...

Speaking of enhancement, you guys should record the pronouncination of your store name and upload it to Forvo.

This is what I could come up with in such a short time: http://translate.google.com/#sv/en/sko-aktiebolaget please click on the speaker to the left (Swedish) to listen to an almost 100 % correct pronouncination. The word "aktie" [aktsie] should not be "dragged out", but pronounced naturally as "aktsie" instead of "akktssie".

Hey Leaves, is there any word on the restock for the Carmina balmoral boot in grain combo?

Captoe bal boot

Antiqued burgundy upper, 2102 soft chiseled last, beveled black sole

Black suede shaft, 5 blind eyelets + 4 speed hooks.

Would anyone be interested in joint for this or something similar?

I think this sounds very interesting! Will have to go by Skoaktieboaget to try on sizes but I'm absolutely in love with the Bonafe burgundy cap toe and a boot in combination with black suede sounds tempting smile.gif
