(Apologies if you've already considered it!).

You bet I have! It's a great make up but my main reservation is the welt. I prefer a full 360 welt on more causal styles. If it had the welt I would have my deposit in. Excited to see how they turn out!

Surprised none has commented on your newest picture on IG yet. New mysterymaker incomming. Much looking forward to what maker you're considering.

Oak doesn't look like the one and only doak, it looks like much more of a flat colour from the swatch.

EG is getting ridiculously overpriced now anyway.

These beauties just arrived at my office. Really nice! My only concern is that they are not snug even laced all the way and with the medium weight, casual socks that I have on today. I'm a standard US8d and these are a UK7, and now I'm wondering if I could have worn the 6.5.

Wow! The stitching around the lake and especially the 'hidden' split toe is really top notch!

Definitely a cut above Carmina's split toe stitching.

Agree. I own a few shoes and boots from Carmina and this is my second from CS and I believe CS is on par with Carmina and at a much cheaper price. Both are fantastic, and it's good to have options!

^ Wow - those are gorgeous.  Almost thought I was looking at a Dover for a minute.

@Skoaktiebolaget what is the color of that Betis Brunello? A super deep oxblood of sorts?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Those are so awesome, still no one wants to get a GMTO suede going? Meermin dropped a bunch of sub par looking split toes and I can't justify them knowing how well CS does the stitching

I suspect if you went UK6.5 they might be too short, maybe just try a tongue pad so you can get the lacing tighter and take up a little volume if needed. The UK7 in the 234 last is boarderline short for my slightly longer left foot (I am about 8.25D brannock). So far I found that I can wear light and mid weight socks no problem but thicker socks add a bit too much pressure to my left pinky since the left foot is more forward in the shoe. The 234 last is the most roomy they say so if you are still considering the 316 last field boot that makes me think the UK7 would be a great fit in that for you.

If in the end they don't work out, let me know. I have some Dovers in a similar color but not grain so I might consider them.

I am potentially interested in a dark or medium (snuff) brown suede pair.  I'm a little concerned about a last that is comparable to Soller/Detroit, as I am not sure if I'd want to size down an extra half or not.  Any possibility of doing this pair on a last that isn't comparable to a wider/more generous Carmina last?

I kind of like the last it's on, because I have experience now with it plus the shape is exactly what I would want in a suede pair. Reminds me of the 202 last from EG a bit in terms of top down shape.

Replicating something that would look like this, I am really drawn to the dark brown but I like both tones.
