If Bonafe could make something like this on 804 last in shell would anybody be interested?
That would be tempting if Bonafe was comfortable giving it a shot. Exdeath in the Vass thread had a shell oxford boot pull apart during the lasting process (although, I've seen calf split as well from others).

I really need to stop late night browsing on Skoak...ordered a pair of Dovers last night.

My EG haul from the last few months: pre-ordered Galways, DOAK Westminster, DOAK piccadilly on order, DOAK Dover, and awaiting the Shanklin shipment arrival. Should I seek treatment or just enlarge my closet?

I hear ya! It can be dangerous. Thankfully for my wallet (unfortunately for my shoe addiction), Skoak has stopped carrying large sizes as stock, so my late night purchasing has certainly been curtailed.

Talk to Dr. @tifosi he has got the answers to all your questions. And maybe as a real doctor too like @DpprDr but I'm guessing the answer will be similar. :)

Seriously though, thank you for your continued support.

I love the alderley! That would be a great one for EB to make. It probably would look great with a norvegese construction as well.

You are too far into the addiction now. Just enlarge the closet.

I only can get my shoes by MTO from my size but that doesn't stop me from getting too much. It only gives me the time to work on additional closet space between production times. I filled my entire shoe closet and now and taking over other storage spaces by keeping shoes in boxes.

Out of all the docs, don't ask me since in my specialty we are only recommending more shoes. Podiatrists as well as foot and ankle surgeons are the two worst specialties with shoe obsessions. The more the better for us! Most of my colleagues on the younger side of the profession have shoe closets made.

I know that it would be difficult to stitch through but when using a thinner norvegese vs the chain stitch, I would think that they could attempt it. In the thin norvegese they can just out turn the leather and stitch once through so it may work but that would be one really sturdy boot!

Sorry, no. We actually had someone ask this before but it's a no go. They don't know how to replicate the actual stitch. They do have a U-wing boot, like the Carmina one, because we had someone request it as MTO, so they made up the pattern.

Can't wait for this U wing to arrive! It's a modified Dark Brown Museum, U-wing Balmoral with punched counters (we had to add counters to avoid copying exactly the Carmina U wing). Thanks @Leaves for all your help! -PJ

Thanks for the information. Will have to wait for when Carmina finds more shell for us then. All part of the fun :)

Did that u wing boot push through as an MTO or a GMTO? I imagine it wouldnt be too difficult to get 2 more folks to jump in on that make up as the Carmina U-Wing boot was a winner.

Im hoping in the future the can make a pattern for a split toe boot or a tanker boot.

@watchidiot It's a single MTO project that has evolved to this from the initial design I had in mind.

Patrick told me that Enzo Bonafe has some "newish" color called Mahogany Shell from Horween (similar to Cognac Shell according to him). I told him that I'll do it as soon as I see the finish product of this initial project since I just ordered the Burgundy Shell U-wing from Steve at GF. I'll try to post pics as soon as it arrives. There might be a 2 to 3 month wait since we just finalized the order on the 3rd week of March.
