Sorry but some people just need to deal with all MTO orders. Not worth complaining be issue at least you don't have to get lasts ,are for every shoe.

Try being a UK C width and a size 13. And that is with thick socks. I'm a US AA to AAA width with a AAAA to AAAAA heel.

I have the right to complain about my funky feet that force me to pay more for shoes in comparison to others. You should understand that as well as anyone else.

At this point I am so used to it I don't even care anymore. I'm just grateful that I can get some shoes that aren't full bespoke. That saves me a ton. At least I have lasts for the brands that I love and wear most (GG, St C, EB, Vass). I didn't mind paying extra to get those lasts and now I have them so the cost isn't as high as before so only a MTO fee, except for st C !!!!!!!!!

LoL my last 5 or 6 pairs of shoes have been MTO, so no complaints over here. I was simply commenting on the fact of how few F width people there actually are. So few that there's no economic sense for shops to regularly stock them.

yea that is very true and makes perfect sense.

My comment wasn't addressed towards anyone in particular. Just that I've heard many different people complain over the years about needing to pay a MTO fee due to their different width.

Commenting on width can be a way to figure out who else has wide feet to get a GMTO going. I think a recent G&G GMTO happened just that way.

Not one but two, both F width thorpes if I recall correctly. Some brown leather I think and racing green hatch grain.

With the right make up is not that hard to pull in 6 people for an F width GMTO. It requires a little persistence and compromise but worth it IMO

I think compromise is exactly the word we're looking for here. I mean, some GMTO suggestions are so specific or eccentric that they have very little chance of getting off the ground. That said, we have several GMTOs that I thought would never work that did and vice versa, so it's very hard to know which ones do in the end. Still, if one is able to compromised on stuff like specific welt, rubber/leather sole etc then you've come a long way.

Can someone comment how CS Tassel loafter fits? Especially in comparison to Alden tassel loafer.

so I have tried the tassel (on Aberdeen in shell) in 9.5D, it's just a bit too tight in the toebox, not sure if it will stretch enough (9.5E is too wide in the heel, 9E is too short),

I have also tried EG tassel on 184 it either hurts in toebox (9E UK) or too long (9.5E UK). CJ325 works ish, but still feel off

For reference I'm 9.5D US on the right (which is the bigger foot) to slightly wide, though I generally don't take wide otherwise heel might slip (and most makers don't really offer wider width to try anyway these days...). I guess ideal would be something like Alden Aberdeen except 9.5E US toebox (or just a bit more than 9.5D) and maintain the same heel width as normal width.
