Heck, as long as RogerP is buying, I'm all for him getting those sweet boots. I'm getting tired of clicking the 'thumbs up' on his other boots over and over already.

My second Thorpe via Skoak. This in rustic Arran grain. Interestingly I found the color to be right in line with the pics Skoak had online. I know some people felt theirs were much darker.

Yes it certainly is.
I'd done one in fact, very recently, before the price increase. Tärnsjö oak wingtip boots with suede shaft.
But SkoaB will not be able to give any assurances on final color since the prototype boots haven't been made yet.

Am I crazy to want a pair of the CS double monks in Florest?  Gotta be one of the more impractical shoes I can think of.

Not crazy at all. I am tossing up on a jumper boot in Florest too.
