The Carlos Santos adelaides look really nice, TBH.
Clean lines, elegant.
The Coimbra patina is definitely their best looking one.

I would say, based on your description, that you should give it a shot. The G should IMO be wider than rain in eee for both toe box and instep.

See here for rain eee width in same size on my foot: https://www.instagram.com/p/BBCMvFyjZyp/?taken-by=jiggly.parts

I will try to give an update after I wear the GG for a whole day but earliest is next week.

A few words of appreciation for Skoaktiebolaget’s service:

I just received my second pair of shoes bought from Skoaktiebolaget U.S. online store, and, I am totally delighted by their service.

The first time I ordered from them was the first time that I ordered shoes from so far away, and, I must say that I was a little nervous.  The way they handled that first order completely reassured me.

With Skoaktiebolaget transaction are crystal clear and completely seamless:  The price quoted on the site is the price you pay, and there is no forex fuzziness of any kind.

Shoes are delivered on time (the second order even arrived before the planned delivery date).

The duties and taxes are taken care of as promised on their U.S. website.

Thanks to their excellent packaging, the shoe boxes arrive in perfect condition (that is not always true even for orders placed with some of the most renowned shoemakers).

 The shoes are absolutely immaculate.

I vouch for Skoaktiebolaget!  If you order from them, I doubt you will be disappointed!

Just wanted to +1 this. Especially for brands like EB and Carlos Santos where there aren't a million pictures of them around the Internet. Pictures from straight above the shoe really help with seeing lasts.

GMTOS closing

Hi guys, please note that we have a lot of GMTOs closing end of business day today: 19.00 / 7 PM CET (Central European Time). We will not accept any orders after this time. For those of you who want to place orders before the G&G and EB price increases, these will also have to be 100% confirmed and balanced before end of business day. No exceptions.

^^^ Great makeups. I'm down for the Thorpe. Wish I could add in the EB austerity boot.

Absolutely agree. Skoak photos are great, but one overhead view (please) would really sweeten the package!

@Leaves- can you compare the CS havana grain and the Carmina Tärnsjö leather?  Photos looks similar... but I assume they are different.

Since we added new lasts for Carlos Santos here is a new comparison picture with the two new added lasts included: the 316 almond shape and 333 classic round. See this picture:

Including the old one just for reference:

Kind regards,

Thought for the day

I have a confession to make. And it's one that most of you will not be able to identify with but an interesting one to have as a shoe nerd.

I'm color blind.

Please don't assume this means that I don't see colors or can't appreciate the wonderful nuances of patinas. I won't go into the science of this but put simply, this means that I am often simply unable to identify exactly what shade of color I am looking at.

The Carlos Santos patinas for example look wonderful but identifying the colors is not helped by their abstract names. The selection process is made much easier when color names or shades are mentioned in the descriptions.

This is not a rant nor criticism (I'm a big Skoab fan) and I've stopped myself several times from bringing this up in case it comes across the wrong way. But I know I'm not alone in this and if you guys would consider this as input to your already fantastic site ( @Leaves ) then statistically you'd be making >8% of us extremely happy!

^ Thanks Oliver - the 333 last has me tempted! (I'm not a chiseled type of guy I suppose)

Hmmmm that 316 looks very appealing as a sleek round / almond toe.  Nice.
