Agreed... I did a slight compassion of the wingtip design and realized bemer wingtip balmoral is more pointy whereas their wingtip derby is similar to the one in skoab IG... Let's hope for bemer as well cause I'm a fan : )

i doubt it; the shoes in the IG picture have a higher degree of finishing than J Fitzpatrick. also, the overall aesthetic of the brand just doesn't seem very in-line with skoak's.

Crossposting from the G&G thread:

Yet another GMTO and I realize this may be a long shot, but ohhhhh boy, am I hurting for an oxford boot. Anyone interested in doing a GMTO with Canterbury via skoaktiebolaget?

Specs:

Canterbury Model with GG06 last in standard width (E)

Sole: oak bark preferably but I'm fine with the other two as well

Leather: chestnut hatch grain top with vintage cedar calf bottom or oak hatch grain top with vintage rioja calf bottom OR oak hatch grain bottom with a polo suede on top

Also a little note: not sure if they have chestnut hatch unless that's the tan hatch grain but it doesn't hurt to ask and do people want to keep the brogue toe cap or go for a plain one? Of course, that is if we don't get hit with fees anyway.

I pretty much want something in hatch grain.

If you LOVE G&G but take a wider fitting and HATE the fact that additional widths can no longer be added to an otherwise fully subscribed GMTO, then this post is for you.

Stop whining and do something about it. :D

Here is an awesome GMTO for G&G F WIDTH WEARERS

Just jumped on the EB unlined suede chukka GMTO. Took a chance with sizing and hope I guessed correctly, guess I'll find out next year.

Is GG "F" width slightly wide?

How does it compare to other makers?

Same as EG in my experience

Speaking of G&G and F Widths... I received my Glencoes a couple of weeks back and have already worn them a few times. I know it's close to treason to suggest this, but I may like those Glencoes more than I like my Galways. A superb boot!

Yes - just slightly on the wide side.  What other makers / lasts are you most familiar with - I'll try to offer some fit thoughts.

Not it mine.  I wear E width in all my EG. F width in G&G is only slightly wider if at all.  I can't wear E width G&G without going up a half size (to UK 9.5) which results in a shoe that is too long.
