Those Glencoes look very red in sunlight.  Is that what you see? I thought it would be more brown. @Faster Either way they look good.

I tried a gazillion different ways, just really hard to photograph, they do have a bit more brown/golden, with a very decent amount of depth.

Hi,

Are these the Carmina Half-brogue Oxfords in Polo suede from the August GMTO? Congrats, they look fantastic!

May we have some photos in natural light at your earliest convenience?

Thank you in advance.

I don't think it would harm either CXL or Zug (save for the potential darkening that Patrik mentions) but I wonder how much benefit would be realized from a topical treatment of leathers that are so heavily oil / wax-impregnated to begin with?

My Zug Galways perform so exceptionally well in the wet and snow that I plan to leave well enough alone there.  I have the same Carmina CXL boots as ThunderMarch, and might give it a try there.  Though I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at the nice shine on those boots fresh out of the box (okay, after just a quick brush and buff) and I'm not sure I would want to put a product on that might dull the finish.  And if these Carminas perform as well as my now-retired CXL AE Bayfields did, they won't need much help.

Now I do have a pair of light tan grain Carmina jumpers that could REALLY benefit from some additional water-proofing.  Never had water soak all the way through, but in even moderate rain they quickly show dark wet spots which looks like crap and make me wonder what the result of prolonged exposure to the wet might be.  For sure I will Piz the heck out of those and not worry about darkening.

Definitely Piz the heck out of them and report your results. With that grain, I'd be surprised if they darken much if at all. Beautiful boots!

+1000000000000000

Knowledgeable, extremely responsive, and very very helpful.

Not to mention brining their shop to a place we all can go.

Oh yeah, and all those great GMTOs to include some of those we could never find anywhere else but here.

I think it will be a new model from St.C instead of a new brand joining... Just guess
