Been away for a bit and this thread became a little spicy...did someone call for a psychologist? smile.gif

Interesting bit about buying shoes for others...heard the saying but superstition is something serious.

Not to point fingers, but it was all @tifosi fault. LOL

Hi guys, I had a quick ( I hope) question about sizing with an EG last I dont have experience in.

I have a wider foot, specifically forefoot, but otherwise no specific orthopedic foot issues, normal instep, arch etc... so usually forefoot width is the rate limiting factor in shoe fit.

I wear 8.5g (f is normal) in StC classic or even sailor last (fit the same, just more toe room in sailor).

In EG a 9E in the 202 last is pretty much spot on straight out of the box length and width. A bit snug in the forefoot but loosens with a couple of wears, no issues wearing for 10-12 hr days (same for stCs 8.5g). For the 808 in EG the F is more comfortable.

Anyways i was looking to get a pair of Galways in the 64 last. Does anyone how it compares to forefoot width to the 202? I am thinking that 9E should be fine, like my fit on the 202, as the 64 looks wide in the pics. Just checking if anyone recommends going up in width to an F?

Thanks
SZ

Thank you for this. That last looks very nice. I will likely wait then until the new cap toes come in.

Just put down a deposit for the Carmina GMTO that's up and running now; a double monk in brown museum calf on the inca-last. Gonna be sick as hell! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Personally I find my 202F to fit much larger than my 64F in same size. Others find 64 roomier though

I wear the same size in the 202 and the 64 and find out of the box the 64 was more snug in the toe box.

Personally I would email Skoaktiebolaget Sales for sizing guidance.

MY experience too, I find 64 more snug in the toe box. This is surprising because 64 is supposed to be boot last.

These bad boys arrived from Skoak 2 weeks ago but haven't had the time to take pics / try them on. Taking them out for a walk today.

Very pleased with the outcome. Saw these when I was in Japan (with all dark brown suede) but I thought it could have looked better in this calf/suede color combination.

Had ordered 2 (other one in cordovan) - will take pics later on. The cordovan pair felt slightly looser (small margin of error so they still fit fine.) However, this is consistent with the vass pairs I've owned (cordovan slightly looser vs. calf/suede.)

Anyways - thanks to Skoak/Gabriel for the fantastic service. It took a while to try to guess which last / model this is on - but the outcome is better than I expected.

Yes good point, although I have no complaints as just shortly after putting them on I had no issues as my Zugs wore just like butter. LOL
