:D  I was using the same photo and the above list when I suggested EG mink

Well we're both okay with #5 then - but it depends on whether Carmina has a close match to that shade - any darker and I'd pass.  I have the boot below - do not want to replicate:

In fact, if we don't get the minimum for a suede option quickly I'll just take advantage of the Bonafe MTO special and go that route to scratch my suede boot itch.

Would prefer something like 4 or 5 to 3 but it sounds like we're looking for something similar.

I really like the perforated wingtip.
Which last is that?

Sir - the box says "2010/b". This is my first and only bonafe at the moment so unfortunately I wouldn't be much help in discussing their different lasts. I have a pair of button boots on order that should come in some time late february/march.

Apologies for the poor quality. I can try and post some more pics when I get home if you need.

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone else have an idea (I'm not familiar with a '2010' last).

How about this:

...but finished in the custom Siena patina by Dandy Shoe Care. Now that will be a great make up! Price will be about 3900 SEK ex VAT including patina service.

It will have to be a limited run though, something like 10 pairs because Alexander does not usually do large runs in the same color.
I think I am in for this. One question: what underlying leather would be used? The boot looks like cordovan.

Vass has a nonfunctional retailer system at the moment in my opinion, unless they fix it we won't consider stocking them. I like StC and I'm definitely not closing any doors here. Had a nice chat with Philip in Florence the other week. You never know.

Well that would be a great relationship and I'm sure you would get a lot of business from all of us!

We'll use a completely natural calf leather, this is the best to use for a custom patina.

Plum? :)

As for the color of suede and this GMTO project. Polo is a new Carmina suede color that we introduced. It's lighter than the normal Brown Suede and with reddish tones. But it's darker than Tobacco Suede. We have 2-3 RTW styles incoming this spring in Polo Suede. But none of those are ready so we no IRL pictures yet. If memory serves me right it's very close to G&G Polo Suede, it might actually be the exact hue. The Carmina Polo Suede is from Steed.

This is G&G Polo Suede.

This is the Uwing Oxford that we made up last year, it's made up in the normal Carmina Brown (Marron) Suede which I think is too dark for this project.

To give you an idea though, I believe it would look quite close to this (this is Shopped of course):

The broguing/pinking has to be the same as the original boot, otherwise they'll have to create a new pattern and Carmina is usually not very keen on this.

@Leaves , How is the GMTO of the U-wing boot with patina service going? Do you have an estimated charge for the patina service? Thanks.

I would love to join in on the EB MTO action. Is the model below also part of the MTO? I don't have a ref. number, but the model seems rather simple, except the blind stitch.

Does the MTO also cover different thread colors?
Does EB offer pigskin?

Thanks a lot
