I meant more from function than form. Its great looking no doubt but I have struggled to find my right sizing in it and he and I tend to like very similar shapes to lasts

Thanks Helden.

You are right, stricto senso the words are that, the meaning is "it was the right move to do something" or "he did right in doing something". When i first join a french forum, i have this expression in my mind (don't know why) so it's my Forum name.

I think Ryden is spot on.  The 202 would probably have worked better for me.  I also think the 82 is gorgeous, but I veer toward the casual extreme so an 82 Galway would see way less wear than my 64 veldt Galways.

Would anyone be interested to do a GMTO for Carmina split toe derby, brown, with tomir rubber sole?

I've had a pair of those galways in my closet for months. Haven't had an opportunity to wear yet. I'll have to fix that.

You are right in that they are the definitive Galway.

Unfortunately I can't take credit this time, just restating what @RogerP said.

Yup, I'm definitely in love with my Bonafe chukkas, despite not filling out the instep properly. If Enzo had another H width last similar to this one, but with a lower instep, I would be significantly poorer. Thanks to the gents at Skoak for helping me acquire these beauties.

Laughton and Galway pre-orders came in.

Posted this in the G&G thread but figured I would post here as well. If anyone has any interest in some of the basics in F width, let me know. I would love to get a GMTO going on a doak or black calf st. James or harrow in MH71 but it has to be F width.
