Also, question of interest.... What clothers most people wear with button boots.... Evidently not with jeens)))) I am not sure that every suit will suffice

The way Enzo Bonafè makes hand welted shoes, the sole is not cut super close to the vamp. Call it the house cut if you like. If you want a slimmer look then you should consider making them in Blake construction.

I could not agree more. If someone has a preference for chiseled toe lasts, that's fine, but round toe lasts are not inelegent by definition (see Vass F) and the 363 Mod is a fairly sleek example.

Of course, individuals will like what they like - which is why asking someone else whether you should like a particular aesthetic is kind of pointless.

I'll be wearing my black pair with suits pretty much exclusively. Never with jeans. But then I don't really wear jeans.

How do you compare Vass F last with EB 363 MOD? I mean width, instep?

That's exactly the matter I meant also! Vass F last is gorgeous and very elegant. But it's not so much on pictures (at least I coudn't give it proper assesion it deserves from pictures). One of my posts was about real experience of 363 MOD last.  May be it's similar  to Vass F last. OK on picturees, beauty in person.

Hard to compare directly as I own 363Mod in a boot only and Vass F in a shoe only. That said, I'd say the Bonafe is a bit more accomadating in both forefoot width and instep than the Vass in terms of fit. In terms of aesthetics, I can't tell you whether you will find the Bonafe to be elegant or not. I quite like it.

Thanks for sharing.

"I can't tell you whether you will find the Bonafe to be elegant or not." That's fair

Maiden Voyage Casual Day
I think the 804 last lends itself to either being very elegant or casual, depending on the style of shoe. I've seen plain captoe Oxford that look very elegant and formal on the 804, and some other MTOs in a derby style boot that look great as well.

I assume these are new shoes? They'll break in just like leather soles will. I find them very comfortable but some might disagree.
