Sigh... alright if it happens count me in too. I would take a loss on my recently acquired boots (haven't even worn them yet) in order to have frankenstitches.

BTW a few people at Reddit were also interested in non-black frankenstitches

Patrik, would like to know how many members I have to gather in order to make the Carmina Burgundy Shell Frankenstich Boots GMTO happen? smile.gif

We have a list of 4 up to now!

I think the problem was that Carmina didn't have burgundy shell allocated for Skoak. But at the same time it seems burgundy shell was available for other non-Skoak GMTOs? Strange. Perhaps Patrick could use that to negotiate.

From my point of view I don't think it's strange at all actually. We are allocated Shell production slots. These are limited. We were given some in Saddle Shell and some in Black Shell. That's it. We can't pick and chose. If we get more slots for Cordovan, you will be the first to know, I promise. nod[1].gif

Don't listen to him. I just bought the burgundy shell boots from Carmina website on the basis frankenstitch wouldn't be available again and I would regret my decision. :)

I did this too.

Gentlemen,

I could severely kick myself for taking a long hiatus from shoe buying for I only discovered this thread and Skoaktiebolaget about two weeks ago after a trip to Toronto for work...you see a colleague there mentioned the crazy USD/CAD exchange rates and it got me wondering...

hmmm good prices on.....SHOES!!!!!!!!!

So I discovered Leatherfoot then Carmina...then this thread and then the urge came over me like a wave and well, two Edward Greens later (just before the price changes) and shoot ...it's friggin full addict mode again. And the best part is that my wife loves all of the shoes too! I love her. Obviously.

So...lots of reading and a bit of confusion... I thought 13D in most AE and Alden lasts for me translated into a 12E in a Carmina on the Rain last. Now I wonder if it really should be a 12EE? The burgundy split toe is calling out to me.... "BUY ME".

And in the Forest? Any thoughts?

And Oscar?

And how about the Detroit last? With the Euro getting destroyed there are some insane prices on the Carmina website for those of us in the USA.

Geez i love shoes.

Thanks in advance.

Interested in most shell Carmina bewts except for Frankenstitch. Looks like I'm in the minority again - really don't like the style

More pics of the Carmina Polo Suede Boot in sunlight. I get a similar colour as the pics provided by Skoak. Seen some pics that looked quite different so that's a relief.

Standard width in Rain is EE. Rain E is narrow, with EEE being wide. So 12EE Rain = 13D US.

Any updates on the preorder for the doak Galway that's been sent back once due to QC issues?

The EG Galway in Dark Oak will hopefully start coming in to the store within a couple of weeks. We will let all participants know as soon as the delivery is confirmed.
