Fellow Skoak loyalists, I wanted to check and see if we might be able to get a G&G Thorpe Group MTO off the ground. I was inspired by the past two days of pouring rain here in NYC and the lack of a classy pair of boots that can handle this inclement weather.

Considering the stock Skoak model was unavailable in my size, I thought let's see if we can do something slightly different. This boot would be killer and at an awesome price. Definitely post your interest and PM me if you have any questions.

So here are the specs that I was thinking of (and I am obviously willing to hear other thoughts/recommendations to get it off the ground):

Burgundy Highland Grain
Exposed antiqued brass eyelets
Double Dainite with storm welt
MH71
Lining color?

Just to whet your appetites, here is the current version of the Thorpe in a country grain that Skoak stocks:

1000

And here is a swatch of the burgundy highland grain:

400

Just a friendly reminder, in order to avoid the MTO fee, the first five pairs would have to all have the same width.

Just a quick status update to see if we can wrangle a few more people over the weekend. Right now, I have three people with confirmed interest in a burgundy highland grain all in the standard E width:

Myself (chrk33)
@ikaika122
@Nullson

Doing their due diligence (or interested in brown highland grain):
@IGotId (interested in either burgundy or brown highland grain)
@rydenfan
@tifosi (brown highland grain ONLY)

I am impressed that we are more than halfway there. If you are interested in joining the Thorpedo, then we can get the ball rolling with Skoak ASAP. Please PM me if you are interested or have any questions.

Also, I have included folks who have voiced interest in the brown highland grain - just in case we need a backup plan (or we can place two orders for both burgundy and brown and make Skoak's day!!).

I would love to get in on that Galway reorder... size 12D (it's supposed to match my Barrie last, yeah?)

Where in the world did you get those?

Are those Saddle cordovan?

What last?

Sweet chair!

I think those might be from Skoaktiebolaget, they were on sale a while back.

Haha...I only now see which thread I was posting in!!

They were on sale at some point. Unfortunately not in my size.

Thanks guys. They are indeed on the Queens last in saddle. Skoak had very few sizes left when I ordered them and as a result I ended up with a pair half a size smaller than my true size. They really weren't comfortable and so I stopped wearing them. Since then I have lost about 30lbs and now they fit. I am not going to say I lost the weight to make the shoes fit but I am not going to deny it either...

Ha, as good a reason as any. Thanks for sharing.

Not a watch guy? Then what happened with that Lange I included in your last order? :fonz:

I think that order is still en-route. I'll let you know if for any reason the Lange isn't there... it's the brown strap to match the dark oak, right?

Leaves always includes the matching strap for the shoes. It's that attention to detail that keeps me going back to Skoak.

Just placed an order with SkoAB on this exact model. It's my first pair from Enzo Bonafé.

SkoAB stocked it earlier this year. Was disappointed that I didn't get a pair back then. I'm very eager to receive it in 3 (?) months.

Congratulation. I am going to order that shoe too soon but I have not decided in what color yet, either in light tan or blue.
