Let's start thinking about summer... - Page 5

Just bought three white linen uni-qlo button-ups, gonna wear those along with cropped linen pants or shorts, margiela GATs, and maybe a baseball cap and call it done. Too hot for anything else.

I hate short-sleeve button-ups, I'd rather roll the sleeves on long sleeves

looking forward to:
-mountain hiking to natural hot springs
-the two hour drive to the beach
-35 degree weather with 80% humidity
-new flavors of popsicle
-summer festivals

and....
-job hunting in Tokyo for most of the summer most likelyy

Yeah it seems I may I have to get some of those linen shirts and roll sleeves

FWIW I was thinking shorts, tank and SS shirt and a baseball cap when it gets too hot for product in hair. shirt would be worn open of course

Yeah, it looks like Uniqlo finally re-stocked the linen shirts in smaller sizes. I'll have to snag some while they're on sale.

I am having trouble picturing this. Elastic jeans? Sounds like some 80 y/o guy from Tampa. You will not be emulating that guy.

How you guys deals with pit stains on white v-necks? They are a bitch, esp if you live in humid weather.

Get better deodorant that doesn't have the anti-perspirant in it that stains things, and oxy clean.

Aluminum-free deodorant is what you need. Arm & Hammer makes one that's cheap and readily available in just about any Walmart/grocery store.

I use Jack Black's antiperspirant (no, not the actor, the brand) but that costs a little more.

Also looking forward to lightweight and unfussy suits and jackets paired with everything...

^ yep, lightweight cotton blazers and suits are the best. I love feeling dressed up and relaxed at the same time. also mixing super informal things with something more tailored.

I'm tempted by these Rivieras. They are kind of "Thurston Howell" or euro playboy, but they also remind me of 1970s Zig Zags. teacha.gif

Question: Can anyone recommend good slimmer fit linen / chamray button ups and OCBDs? I have a bunch of comfy loose/flowing ones but my girl is always complaining they dont "accentuate the physique"

Uniqlo, as Nicelynice mentions at the top of the page.

Anywhere to cop non tacky printed/fun shorts? Uniqlo has ugly neon ones right now

Im looking online but its hard to get a feel for how the linen fits. Some of the shirts dont have fit pics at all. Because uniqlo is slightly fashion-forward, can I expect it to be slimmer?
