Just finished polishing a pair of monk straps that started off as dark brown approximately five years ago.

Just purchased this pair of Bontoni "Excelsior" triple monk with peeble grain. Photographed in jeans.. though I will probably only wear with tailored clothing.

Stanley Korshak in Dallas. I'm almost dreading the day I first wear them... I just want to wipe them down with a soft cloth!

Dwinnier - those are nice, I really like what Bontoni is doing with the Pebble Grain.

Got word that my Bontoni's have landed at Mario's in Seattle so I should have them in a few days. Split toe oxfords in medium Brown.

Sounds good... I too like what's being done with pebble grain... I already have a pair of Di Bianco pebble grain but I think Bontoni does it better. You may not be able to see it in the pic but the stitching on these shoes are black which IMO adds a nice contrast to the color.

It's good to know that many others share my passion for fine footwear!

BTW, did you purchase your Bontoni's from a trunk show (special order). I was told by my rep at Stanley Korshak that it takes up to six months for delivery! How long did your order take?

Yes, I purchase all my Bontoni's MTO either at a trunk show or at just calling my order in. On average for me the wait time has been approximately 6 months but it varies. This pair took six months and the two before took 2.5 months. A couple of other pairs have taken 8 months or so. It just depends but 6 months is a good average. It's worth it though to get exactly what you want.

Thanks. Just saw your pic... very nice!! I love the color... I can use a split toe, it's been about 8yrs since I wore a pair.

I haven't seen an oxford Norwegian from another maker, that Bontoni model is one in a million. Gorgeous, eccentric, lovely.
