wow that's nice. love the detail on that brown finish.
Del Corso, absolutely sublime.
Why don't you email Bontoni and ask them?Thought I'd chime in with my only pair (with more hopefully coming soon). P.S. I've worn mine to death and am now getting close to needing a resole. Has anyone had good luck finding someone to resole and keep it as close to original as possible? I was thinking B.Nelson as they've done some great work for me in the past.
With regards to a resole, Bontoni will do a resole, but the shoes need to be sent to their workshop in Italy and so I'm guessing that the process takes a few months to complete. Don't quote me on this but I have an email from one of the owners of Bontoni where he states to an SA that a resole is $80. If that is actually true that's a great deal and I would suggest using them as they would know best how to resole. I agree with PSG, I would email them and ask them or reach out to the store you bought them from and they can get in contact with them.
I spoke with the guys at Wilkes Bashford and they said they don't send them back to Bontoni for resole. They use some gentleman in SF that charges about $125 for the resole. I'm pretty particular about the work done, so I'll see if I can track down someone at Bontoni for a response. I also have a local guy that does high end shoe stuff that I might check in on. Will let you know what I find out.
