By reading SF I tried out one of the suggestions of buying cheap shirts at Nordstrom Rack and having them tailored. This worked very well for me. I just made sure the collar and shoulders fit well. To add darts and slim up the shirt it cost $30. I'm assuming if I would need to adjust the sleeve length it would be an additional $10 or so.
Anyway with pants, what do I need to look out for? I'm guessing waist size must be a good match. What is the cost to slim up the pant legs, hemming, etc.
I'm trying to fill out a business casual wardrobe. Currently I have one MTM pair of wool pants from Thick As Thieves. They fit nicely and cost $150 per pair. But I'm wondering if there might be a better alternative. Maybe a Brooks Brothers outlet would have higher quality fabrics and I can just pay for the tailoring to get them under $150? Any tips would be appreciated.
