Amazing Ebay purchase? Please help me ID and describe these NIB John Lobb loafers (photos provided)

A disclaimer: I purchased these JL loafers on eBay from a seller who didn't know (or maybe care about?) their worth.

I do a little selling here and on eBay to finance my own show purchases. But I know very little about John Lobb -- I am an EG man devil.gif -- so would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Several questions....

1) What model are these?
2) Is "cherry" the color?
3) What is the circled R stamp? (Are these seconds? Were they returned?)
4) Does a JL 9 E translate to a US 10 D?
5) Do I describe them as from John Lobb or John Lobb Paris?
6) What would be a fair asking price?

Gentlemen, I offer my thanks in advance,

AHS

1. Cherry
2. They are brown in color
3. Rejects, probably because of the bit of stitching visible on the sole near the heel
4. Yes
5. John Lobb
6. They are worth what someone will pay. Start your asking price at 2X what you are into them for.

But wouldn't that be a pretty cool maker's mark, an inch of exposed channeling. I like it...

No problem. It should be noted that I do not nor have I ever owned a pair of Lobbs.
