The function is the pleasure I get from pinching a big button between my fingers. I'm not sure what that says about my inner psyche, but I am more than ready to admit that big buttons don't necessarily aid in any objective functionality. But that's why I like them (and expensive mechanical watches, and shaving cream that smells like mint, and just enough cologne so that only I can smell it): they offer certain tactile or sensual feedback that only I get to enjoy. And I frankly don't care if someone else thinks my buttons are bigger than normal since I get to pinch them between my fingers.

Anyway, the wider diameter large buttons make more sense than the smaller diameter large buttons (like on Borrellis), because they at least offer the advantage of staying on the right side of the button hole.

I went to Kuhlman today and picked up three shirts. I bought a 38 which I thought was equivalent to a 14.5, but it seems like it's more of a 15. Anyway they are having a sale 25% off all shirts. I went to the 6th ave location...I'll try to go to the Grand Street location some other time, and see what they have over there.

I've never really been a fan of the two button collar, but I'm looking forward to trying this out.

For the price Kuhlamn shirts are good...I was wondering if there were any other stores like that in the New york area that sold shirts for about the same price range

Hello, my name is Dana Williams and I make these shirts and collars of any style.  Look me up on Etsy.com shop name DW Bespoke to take a look at some of the shirts I redesign.  Theres a lot more to come.

Got one there in July. It's a Finamore. When I chose it,
I wasn't even aware that it had two collar buttons. Haven't yet worn it.
Downside of Shop The Finest is that they do not offer refund, only
store credit. Not a problem for me because I get to LA a few times a year.
Check with Lance at Virtual Clothes Horse too. He offers refund, I believe.
