Yes, I remember when I was polishing, I can see there are silver pigment in the pores of my black museum calf, and does look a bit misty under the sun

I always liked the idea of having a JL City, quintessential you might say...

Anyone got some experience with Ultra calf?

Saw them on JL website, looks nice, perhaps a marriage of Misty & Museum?

Can anyone identify these Lobb boots? They look like something one might wear into battle, I can't find another example anywhere.

I have been offered to buy BNIB William Meleze buffalo SUBS for 430 GBP. Since I am not that used to buying subs and therefore am a bit unsure about what is a reasonable price for them, would you say that these are good prices? Or too high? I suspect the seller sources them directly from JL factory shop...

Thanks for helping an unsure Swede out.

Cheers

Have you seen the damage?

430 GBP sounds like a really good price to me.

Nope, but the seller has offered a full return/refund if I am not happy. And according to him, there aren't any visible flaws.

They came out in 2011 Summer - as press samples I "think"...not sure if they went into full blown production in the UK - maybe for Japan.

They appealed to me, as it's more pointed and sleeker looking than the rounder 7000 last.
I will dig out the name when I am back in the UK this weekend.
I have the exact pair but in Brown Musuem Calf.

If in doubt just buy it. It's a lovely a last (IMHO) - and better looking than their
8000 and 7000 Lasts.
