This is the color Navy Museum Calf.  But on the Tudor chelsea boot

edit.. These pictures are from Google.  The only examples i could find.

I personally think its a nice subtle change from black and would be appropriate in any situation you would be wearing black shoes/chelseas etc...
Hard to believe that navy museum is even darker than deep blue misty as the latter is very dark. I have never seen navy museum in real life though. In thr last pic you posted the color is more navy than black.
The least of my concerns when buying JL shoes is thr leather quality and how it will age. I am sure it will be just fine and age well.
The only concern really is if you like the color itself

@coldinboston Wise words there! It must be I took judgment of their sale figures based on SF interest. Than again, SF members are probably making less than a 0.3% of all buyers out there. Though I am highly thankful to this community for defining my taste .. I believe I would still be buying overpriced gucci loafer crap if I haven't find about this place..

I think Deep Blue Misty Calf is the darkest blue they have. It looks bluish-black.

Navy Museum Calf looks blackish-blue. This is Hinton from next season.

I don't think Deep Blue Museum Calf is available anymore. This picture is from von Rothbart.

Blue Museum Calf is a bit too blue for me. This picture is from Ebay.

I like the pair of metal eyelets on the new Croft derbies and Weir oxfords.

Thanks for the info.  I'm about to put the order in for the Navy Museum Tudor.  I have a deep blue misty calf and In every lighting it looks black.  I would even go as far they made a mistake and made it in black lol.

I had a similar suspicion that your Archer may be in Black Oxford Calf.

Are you able to post a few more images of them?

Yes I have some more pictures on my phone.  But  I leave that pair at my office.  I don't know if its black oxford or black misty if it was black.

Where did you find that picture.  Looks like a stock photo.

Thanks for the info. I agree the deep blue museum is too blue. I wouldnt per se buy blue shoes as i dont think i would wear often enough. I would however wear shoes that are more on the black spectrum. So maybe i will do the navy museum probably in a darby ii on an october sole as that seems to be my most versatile shoe.

I could go for them in a casual derby but not so sure about the oxfords. Not my cup of tea

So i did have a pair of phillip ii labeled as dark brown misty which when i looked at looked like regular dark brown oxford calf. When i did take it to the Lobb store to look it ends up that it was actually just dark brown oxford that was mislabeled on the box, so it happens

Did you order misty calf or regular calf? Regardless if that the above looks much too blue to be black.
