Interesting. Only worn once before today but who knows how long they have been sitting on the shelf. I'll do it in a few days

Warwick Oxfords, anyone?

Would appreciate someone posting a photo or two as I cannot seem to find any on Google. Considering these in Brown Calf ..

I know the John Lobb 2010 was only made in Black Misty and Dark Brown Misty calf.  What color would this shoe look cool in?  John Lobb has this shoes in their MTO list.  I think the Black on this shoes looks slick because of its minimalist design.

I believe it was misty.  It looks great in black like I mentioned.  I just want other opinion,  I believe plum is always the best but I wonder if one can have enough plum museum calf.

Question for you gentlemen if you would be so kind...

I'm looking for a starting point or fitment comparisons on the JL 9795. On the 'new' resin lasted EG's I wear a UK8.5E very comfortably in the 202,606, and 82. Would it be a safe assumption to start fitting in a UK8.5 on the aforementioned last as well?

Thank you,

JL is usually half size smaller than EG/G&G. 9795 is roomier than the sleek 7000 last as it's designed for country shoes/dub monk. I would suggest UK8E.

Best to try them in person.

Thank you very much! I was planning on it but wanted to walk in with an idea of baseline in the event someone wasn't available to throughly help with a proper fitting.

Wow a UK8...considering I measure a 10 on the brannock and typically wear a US9.5 that seems a bit extreme. However I appreciate the frame of reference!

I based my guesstimate from your EG sizing of 8.5E, not on your Brannock measurement.  Based on Brannock, your EG size should be 9.5E UK and your JL should be 9E UK.  Based on your US 9.5, its 9E EG and 8.5E JL.

EG/G&G usually lists two size indicators inside their shoes; first one being UK, second one being JL, e.g., 9.5/10 means 9.5E UK, 10D US.

I am waiting for a pair of dark oak EG Chelsea on F82 last in size 9. For example I am a 9E in John Lobb. I will see if I screwed .. Basically thought I could skip with a half size smaller shoe but wider fit. Also heard about EG resin last being more generous so I hope it will fit. If not I will offer them at attractive price. Even ordered EG shoe trees. Interestingly, when ordering from Mr. Porter they say EG fits true to size, and to take your normal size. So when you order a EG shoe from there in size 9, you will receive size 9/9.5 ...
