I wasn't able to find one, so I thought I would start one. Although I don't get my first pair for another couple of days, I figured it still might be good to have a thread here anyway.

The reason I'm starting one is because I know how helpful the other shoe threads like Edward Green, Gaziano & Girling, Crockett and Jones, and the others have been when making my decisions on which shoes to buy. Extremely helpful when doing ones shopping mostly by internet.

So it is my hope that even though I know very little, that we might be able to share information in regards where to buy, and what Lasts and designs are availible.

Besides I never get tired of looking at some more shoe Appreciation.

Anyone know the various places to buy them? I know I could have purchased RTW from the following sites:

www.johnlobb.com
www.mrporter.com
www.neimanmarcus.com
www.barneys.com
www.bergdorfgoodman.com
www.leathersoulhawaii.com

It's also possible to call the John Lobb NY Store if your unable to find what you want availible on the internet. There's a chance they may have it in stock. This is what I did for my Williams II. They charged me an extra $30 for shipping, but that wasn't a big deal to me. Also if you call you can find out when their new arrivals will be in stock and they had a wider selection at least in regards to soles than what is on the website.

Also if anyone has any information in regards to their various lasts and corresponding styles that might be extremely helpful.

It appears as my shoe trees will be here today, however I'm still unsure as to whether my first pair of John Lobbs will be here today or not.

Thanks for starting this thread.

Lobbs are my favorite. For me, the leather is just amazing even compared to other very high quality shoes. I'll have to post some more of mine at some point.

Here are the Chambord II in bracken (basically chestnut) in misty calf that I bought in January. My poor photography doesn't do them justice.

I've been traveling so much I still haven't taken them for a spin yet. Very soon though...

Wow, both very nice.

I must say I think I like those Chapels best, but then again I've been looking at monks a lot lately. Can't wait to get my pair.
