A fascinating pair of JLP Bespoke recently showed up on a Japanese auction

Phillip II style oxfords with Pointed Toes. In mint condition.... buyers remorse, I suppose.

How would another person fit in it if it was "bespoke" and made to the previous owners exact size?

If a guy who wears an 8.5 D (my size) goes and gets bespoke shoes made, and I steal them off his feet when he's dead in a ditch (or thrift them, but that's not as funny) his shoes won't fit me that much worse than a standard 8.5 D -- might even be better, if the particulars of our feet are similar. That's certainly how it works with shirts and suits. Shoes are a little more complicated and esoteric, of course, so I might be wrong.

Japanese LOBB isn't the same thing as JLP bespoke.

???

Those are JLP Bespoke ordered through JL boutique in Tokyo. They cost the owner roughly ¥800K JPY ($8000 USD)

Sole of the shoe says "LOBB

To me, those are some seriously ugly shoes.

I think the owner may have been inspired by Mr. Shigematsu pointy shoes, and may have realized they didn't look so good in person lol8[1].gif

Hi Chobochobo,

Here are some other JLP Bespokes owned by other styleforum members

but you're right, JLP Bespokes don't have the JL logo stamped on the soles like the RTW shoes

fugly. lobb can likely relast those to something less ridiculous, but wtf was this person thinking (and why didn't lobb just say no)?

My mistake. Still surprised JL would make something like that bespoke. I've seen some really bad JL RTW but bespoke...

So here is the infamous SHIGEMATSU model (discussed a few years back), JLP Bespoke, also with a 'weapon grade' toe.

M. Madonini looks quite nervous
