John Lobb Appreciation Thread - Page 73

Shoe care?

With cream as well as wax?

Lobb recommends cream and wax:

C&J only recommends wax but you'd think that kills the original colour and doesn't penetrate the leather, drying it out, right?

There is an excellent thread regarding this matter started by @goodlensboy .. I recommend you check it out. There is a far more products that can be applied beside cream and wax, such as Saphir Renovator, and creme alpina for cleaning and preparing the leather for creams and waxes.

This guy really summed it up good, I enjoyed watching the thread since the 1st post.

When conditioning is required cream tends to work best I think. I have been using VSC as Saphir tends to be less moisturizing and more drying. However when a higher shine is desired I'll use wax. However when using wax I tend to use it mostly on the heal and toe areas.

Here's another thread where this has been discussed in greater detail..
