I have large and narrow feet that require me to get custom shoes. I don't come from a lot of money, so I would like to buy one good pair of shoes and just wear them as long as they look good. Theoretically, how long would a pair of dress shoes last if worn everyday (not including heavy snow/rain days, unless it's just a little rain or rained earlier in the day, cause I'll wear my old boots for those days)?

I would brush them everyday and use shoe trees.

But typically speaking it is a lot better to rotate shoes as they will do better if given a chance to rest between wears.

Theoretically situation:

1. Allen Edmonds quality shoe.

2. Worn 8 hours a day (6 hours walking and 2 hours stationary).

3. Worn during the spring/summer.

4. If rainy, then spray on waterproof solution, use an umbrella outdoors, and when outdoors quickly find cover with a building or vehicle.

5. Use a shoe tree when not being worn.

6. Brushed after each wearing.
