On the contrary, I don't feel a preference towards, say, "pizze" as opposed to "pizzas", so it's really just my personal -- and inconsequent -- decision.

You are being culturally insensitive to our language and I demand that you stop at once.

Why don't you act like a grown man and take this discussion where it belongs? http://www.styleforum.net/t/164395/transparent-moderation-log-site-topics-part-ii

Living in unhip Philly, I have to wait until I can personally loathe this style of coffee.

You realize that you were supposed to leave me enough time to come up with a devastating comment about your wife and/or puppy, don't you? Now I'll never get to establish a bad boy image.

Coffee people are only slightly less annoying than brunch people who are only slightly less annoying than vegans.

Yeah, it's been pretty big in the last few yrs, not more stupid than coffee connoisseurship.

This article made my realize I have missed my calling in life as I could be in a lab feeding people dog food while telling them it is foie gras.

Also LOL at the OP for thinking coffee is good in France, people don't give a flying fuck, it's just coffee (which makes it bearable). Coffee is good in Italy while just being coffee which I guess is ideal.

Look, I don’t get why you guys are so anxious to hate on what is obviously a new artform. As Glenn Gould once said in the liner notes to one of his discs* “(…) my sober conviction that no piano need feel duty-bound to always sound like a piano” - I think it’s important that we free this ‘coffee’ product from always tasting like ‘coffee’ and find out what other forms it might take. I mean, isn’t that the whole purpose of this forum: to explore and test and find out how great something might be? Do great new things? Deviate from the ‘norms’ that society imposes on us all? Perhaps there’s a great new coffee that might rise from the ashes of your expectations. We have nothing to lose but our shackles.

* Bach - Two-part Inventions and Three-part Sinfonias – however, the listener of said disc will immediately notice the disturbing hiccup that the piano exhibited as a result of Mr. Gould’s tinkering in order to play a piano piece with a piano that he thought shouldn’t have to sound like a piano.
