Who makes the best Henley style shirts/t-shirts?

I'm looking to buy some Henley style shirts/t-shirts.

The maximum I want to spend per shirt/t-shirt is $125, though if I can find a great one for $30, then I'll be happy buying a bunch of them at $30 each :)

So, who makes the best Henley style shirts/t-shirts?

i love the American Apparel Long Sleeve baby Henleys (http://store.americanapparel.net/t457.html). $30.

they look like crap on the models on the website but they fit nice and snug.  i have 6 of them and pretty much throw them on whenever i'm not stressing about what i need to wear.

Older Wings and Horns henleys (pre the new designer) are sweet as fuck. They are like a lover who cooked you dinner so that it was ready when you got home from a long day of work.

The American Apparel are pretty good (I'm wearing one right now), like bumping into an old lover you are on good terms with and settling into some cuddling and gentle sex. Real comfortable, low pressure, easy to come to an understanding with.

Definitely agree about the W+H henleys from a couple seasons ago. Slim fit and great quality.

I find that the John Varvatos henleys are good too if a bit a pricey for the cost. Try picking them up on sale from Gilt or MyHabit when they pop up.

For top of the line go for Merz B Schwanen (loopwheeled, I think) or Homespun. RRL have some nice ones as well.

I saw them before, but I'm wondering about the use of the word "Thermal". Are they designed only to be warn for colder months/days, or are they comfortable when warm during very hot months/days?

^ Look at Wolf Vs Goat. They have their own thread here on SF. I would say that in terms of quality/fit/price, his is hard to beat IMO.

The Uniqlo waffle ones are not too bad, probably beefier than the AA ones

Do these fit true to size? The chest sizes on the smallest size (29-31!) are way smaller than one would expect would ever be offered.

I feel like the AA ones are too tight to just wear casually by itself. More for layering. Anyone else think this?
