size 27 in black ps sized down 1. I'm so fat they are tight as crap. 5 10. 140. These do not seem like they want to stretch as much, and the cloth feels decently thin.

I'm ~125-130 5'9 and my PS feel a little tight in 27 but I don't really wear them all that often. How long have you had them?

I sized down 3. I have been wearing them for about a week in the evenings in my home and they have stretched out nicely. Thighs are no longer painted to my legs and its no longer painful to walk. There is mild discomfort when sitting though.

 

I need to get them hemmed as I am only 5'7". Should I soak them before getting them hemmed? Will they shrink significantly lengthwise from occasional (2-3 times a year) soaks?

Dont hem them, let them stack or cuff them!

After the first wash, the legs of my NS shrank significantly and now they stack very nicely. The lenght is perfect now.

hmm.. don't know if I agree with this. I thought it was definitely too long even after a soak. The most it's really going to shrink is like 1". And even with the 1" shrink, at least for me, similar height 5' 8", it was too long even for stacking with cuffs. and from my experience, you'll really only get shrink with the 1st soak/wash. after that, it'll be really really minimal, if any at all.

Just a heads up, anyone thinking of getting the classic bomber should probably size up one, especially if they're not into the cropped look.

measurements for a medium (inches):

s2s: 17
p2p: 22.5
waist: 18.5
sleeve: 25.25
sleeve @ elbow: 7
sleeve @ wrist: 5
back length: 23.5

It's made in Morocco and the zippers are chromed riri. Decent quality, but the sizing is off.

I forget how much they shrank after the first wash (maybe an inch), but they definitely shrink with subsequent washes. At least another 1-2 inches over the course of their life.

What are the different types on Black New Standards APC carries? I tried on a pair at Barney's that was straight black, however when I purchased a pair off the internet It was slightly grey.

Can someone link me to the All Black Selvedge pair?

^ there a lot.  I've handled several pairs of each one.  off the top of my head...so don't hold me to it.

 

1. faux noir.  these are the older kinds.  not selvedge, but they are raw.  made in macau.  they look greyish, or black with white weft.  hence the "faux"

2. noir.  these are the newer kinds.  red selvedge, but not raw.  they look really black.  can be identified as made in japan.  BUT I am 100% sure there are some that are Made in Macau.  And I can confirm that the MiJ and the MiM ones have different measurements for the same tag size (to make it even more confusing lol).
