Er....did the sizing change for the petite standards? I just looked at Context's site since I was planning on buying a pair in black and it looks like the tagged size is the same as the waist measurement..I thought they were 2 inches larger.

Somebody told me that APC NC's will only shrink a half inch in the inseam, can anyone confirm?  I find that a little hard to believe, and I want to hem them before washing so the hem isn't totally flat.

I was looking at those, and according to Mr. Porter they run tts and the inseams are about 2 inches shorter than their raws/mij's.

whaou , i'm French from Paris and i didn't know APC (i live near their shop)  had so much fame all around the world haha

same for dior homme jeans.

i even think that APC has much more popularity in the state or asia than in france lol glad everybody love it

Are they cheaper over there? You could probably make a good buck as a proxy if so mwink[1].gif
post #9833 of 12963

i don't know if they are cheaper because i don't know how much you pay them and maybe you pay in dollar so ... :)

in the shop in Paris it is 135 euro for a classic brut jeans like petit standard so it makes approximately 180 dolls i think.

but they are good jeans and the shop is very famous in Paris , and it is located in a very nice neighborhood

Same price then. They run $175 USD over here. How common are they over there? SF makes APC seem as ubiquitous as Levi's, but that's not really the case.

only the people who are interested in clothes know APC (in France) , i mean most of the young Parisians know it , but for the people from south of france (like toulouse)  they will know this brand only if they like clothes and intersting themselves in this.

so it is not a very known brand , but they don't make commercial so it is legit

and for dior homme , everybody know this brand here , but only a few know how good the jeans are, and so only a few are buying them jeans héhé

That's kind of interesting. That is, apc jeans might not be anymore popular in france than outside of it. I spot APC every once in a while in Los Angeles, especially while shopping at Barney's. Generally I assume anyone rocking APC must have at some point typed "raw denim" into google and gone down the rabbit hole...

APC has like 7 shops in Paris, plus a bunch of retailers including Colette, so I doubt that, they aren't "legit", also most fashion brands are only know to people who like fashion, there's people out there who don't know who Channel is.

They have a flagship shop in Toulouse, so she must walk around like a ostrich or be completely ignorant like the girl I spoke with in Copenhagen, who was studying Furniture design and didn't know who Finn Juhl was. cry.gif

They have/had shops in all of the mayor cities in Europe and they have like 15 retailers in London including Selfridges and Liberty, a flagship on Dover St. right across from DSM and a second on Redchurch st. right behind Soho house, so they can't be that niche.

APC have a lot of retailing store (official shop and corner) but they don't make any commercial (in the newspaper or in t.v) so how can it be popular ?

And as I already say , it is a typical fashion brand from Paris and most of the young Parisiens know it. but for the rest of the french it's more unknown , and having a corner in a little shop in toulouse don't make them more famous for the toulousains.

all my friends who are not from Paris didn't know about APC and i initiating them to it.

and there are other very nice french brand that most of french people don't know , commune de Paris , Melinda Gloss , atelier la Durance etc... but i'm sure that some foreign people know about those brand because a lot of stars are wearing them (chris brown , kanye west , zac efron etc..)

so you must know that there is a big difference between the French Parisiens and the other French people.
